Tasting Notes
Sourced from a 2008 planting of the Swan clone, rare in Oregon, the new vintage is significantly riper than the 2014. Fermented and aged in 30% new French oak, it shows more of the sweet barrel spices than its stablemates, along with cured meats and muted notes of rock. Tart blackberry and cherry fruit carry the precisely defined core. The wine is stylish, powerful and supremely detailed. This quality at this price is a bargain. Editors' Choice. Score - 96.
