Tasting Notes
From the Santa Margarita AVA in southern Paso Robles, 14 miles from the Pacific Ocean, comes a distinctive zinfandel with quite lifted peppery, herbal aromas suggesting the cooler sub-region. It also has lifted blackcurrant, floral notes. It is full bodied, quite intense and intriguing with this odd sweet-tart ying-yang on the palate, plus warming alcohol. Tannins are quite mild.
