Tasting Notes
The nose here is very inviting with a great depth of blackberry, raspberry, mocha and plum. Dry and medium bodied, the palate is balanced and well structured, offering an overall round and smooth experience with plum, anise, more mocha and some sweet fruit mid-palate. The whole package is pleasantly wrapped up with a tasty, long, dry finish. A great value, this spirited southerner will certainly enliven barbecued fare. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2010)
