Tasting Notes
The modern 2017 Torront�s is sourced from Cafayate and cropped from an extremely dry year. They search for a citric and fresh style, picking and fermenting at two different points in time; this fermented with indigenous yeast in small stainless steel vats. It's very spicy and faintly floral, not as aromatic as the variety can sometimes be. In fact, it reminded me of a Gew�rztraminer more than a Moscatel. The palate is dry and balanced, with good freshness. I'd experiment with Thai food. Score - 90. (Luis Guti�rrez, robertparker.com, June 29, 2018)
