Tasting Notes
Modern-style Chianti with some terrific old-school qualities as well. There are upfront black cherry, field berry, spring meadow, clove and rhubarb aromas here. Dry and fairly fruity with firm tannins in support, plus well-handled fresh acidity. This wine should reward 3-4+ years in a cellar, but is drinking well tonight with mushroom risotto and roast pork, or pizza topped with char-grilled steak strips. (VINTAGES panel, June 2012)
