Tasting Notes
Chasselas (locally, Fendant), an ancient white variety that is grown widely throughout Europe, enjoys its most distinctive expression in Switzerland. This version is bone dry, and medium bodied. It shows classic varietal aromas and flavours of lime blossom and citrus, along with green plum, mineral and fennel. A superb example of the varietal, and a superb value. Very food-flexible, this will pair with a variety of dishes, and is particularly good with a cheese fondue. (VINTAGES panel, April 18, 2011)
