With the exception of their 'Exceptional Vintage' wines produced only in select years, the Plateau range are Sileni's top-tier wines. The Plateau Pinot Noir is a consistently complex wine. The 2012 will offer impressive red fruit with touches of earth and vanilla. It is a great candidate for up to 3+ years' further development in your cellar, but can be enjoyed tonight with tuna or salmon steaks.
Tasting Notes
Quite a complex - and very approachable - Pinot at a great price. Serves up lively red cherry, redcurrant and raspberry fruit encircled by touches of earth and vanilla. Good tangy fruit replays on the palate with bright acid giving nice cut and delineation. Smoothly textured throughout. Cellar 1-3 years or enjoy tonight with salmon steaks.
