This wine is named Jorio in tribute to twentieth-century Abruzzese poet Gabriele D'Annunzio, whose most famous work is the play titled La figlia di Iorio (The Daughter of Iorio), sometimes written as La figlia di Jorio. Expect a wine evocative of plums and cherries, and couple it with pasta in a tomato and meat sauce.
