Considered one of Italy's finest white wines, Vernaccia di San Gimignano was the first Italian wine to be awarded DOC status back in 1966; it was upgraded to DOCG in 1993.
Tasting Notes
Fresh, light and floral wine with beautiful lemon and pear fruit, a whiff of garden herbs and an undercurrent of rocky minerality. Exceptionally crisp and dry on the palate, with ripe lemon and lime fruit taking centre stage. A good choice for seared scallops, grilled white fish or herbed chicken breast.
