Tasting Notes
Good bright red. Lively, penetrating aromas of red cherry, blueberry, flint, minerals and violet. Juicy and fresh but quite broad too, with enticing fresh minerality energizing the deep middle palate. The wine's dark fruit flavors are complicated by an almost pungent floral element. Finishes perfumed and very long, with fine-grained tannins and vibrant, highly spicy nuances. Verbena is yet another Montalcino estate making better Brunellos than ever before. Score - 91.
