Description
The vineyard name, Vulkanfelsen, refers to the volcanic soils that are a significant element of Baden's composition. This will be a refreshing rosé that offers engaging aromatics including rose petals, strawberry and red apple. The palate will be dry, with tangy fruit and a considerable acidity that would make this an ideal sipper; it would also be a great match for grilled salmon.
Tasting Notes
Grown in vineyards surrounding the village of Koenigschaffhausen (say that five times fast), this 100% Pinot Noir rosé opens with lovely aromas of pink grapefruit, red plum and herb garden. Juicy, bright and tangy in the mouth with a lingering, lip-smacking finish. Pair with grilled sausages or schnitzel. (VINTAGES panel, April 2017)
