TASTING NOTE: The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota Vineyard is much darker and textured than the Montana, mostly because of the slate rock in these three blocks. Sweet dark blueberries, black berries, licorice, violets and melted road tar all flesh out in the glass. A structured, dense wine, the 2008 is totally alive in the glass. Tasting Notes
This is stunning on the nose with crushed cassis, like creme de cassis, and violets. So beautiful to smell. Medium to full body. Compact, refined tannins flow across the palate to the borders of the wine. All about balance, freshness and purity. One of the best ever. Drink or hold [till 2040]. Score - 97.
