Tasting Notes
The nose here certainly offers the complexity expected from a Chianti Classico Riserva. Engaging and bright notes of raspberry and red cherry with leather and menthol. The palate is dry and medium bodied, and fully delivers on the promise of the nose. Wonderful depth of fruit here, with round tannins and excellent acidity keeping everything balanced. Well structured and flavourful throughout, with a long finish. A very good wine at this price and an ideal pairing for lamb, or thick slices of rare roast beef. (VINTAGES panel, March 2011)
