Tasting Notes
The Saumur region is particularly noted for their terrific Cabernet Francs. A bright purple colour and a floral, cherry-infused nose make way for peppery flavours of plum, black raspberry, black cherry and cassis. There's good balance here, and serious length. A delectable addition to savoury vegetable stew, or ham in a rosemary-mustard sauce. (VINTAGES panel, May 2010)
