Description
It may be playfully named, but Southbrook's Whimsy! is seriously good. It is made with their finest grapes, in very tiny lots, and only in the best vintages. For example, this 2009 Chardonnay's whole production run is sourced from only two barrels. They use a unique Damy-coopered barrel that is slightly larger than the average 225L barrique (it is 265L). Look for intense flavours that expertly bring together fruit, oak and acid into a unique and compelling whole.
