Tasting Notes
The Rothschild family had their eyes firmly set on providing high-quality wines at fair prices. To measure their success, you need only nose this brilliant-straw-coloured Chardonnay. Notes of apple, pear, spice, tropical fruit and grounded minerality confirm the wisdom of the Lafite Rothschild's acquisition of this Chilean vineyard. Very focused and well made, this is dry, with rich apple, pear, white peach and tropical fruit flavours. There is a lovely fresh citrus note here too, and a crisp long finish.
