Tasting Notes
An excellent example of why the Blaufränkisch grape (aka, Lemberger) is seen as one of Austria's best local varieties. Rich notes of cherry, blueberry, plum and spice on the nose. The palate is dry, soft, medium-full bodied and well structured. Very nice fruit echoes with well-integrated tannins, a nice balancing acidity, and a lingering cherry-kissed finish. Enjoy this intriguing wine tonight with grilled pork tenderloin. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2010)
