Tasting Notes
Carlos Serres is believed to be the oldest winery in Rioja. Serres learned the ins and outs of winemaking in Bordeaux, before founding this property. This Gran Reserva blend of 85 % Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5 % Mazuelo is quite youthful given its vintage and delivers intense notes of currant, licorice, and spice. The palate is dry, medium bodied and complex, with a long finish. Enjoy this with roast meats or aged cheeses. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2010)
