The Kunde Family Estate extends along just over 3 km of the Sonoma Highway. The majority of the estate is situated upon a band of rust-red volcanic soil known as Red Hill, which was formed by lava five million years ago, but the estate encompasses the great diversity of topography and soil that Sonoma is famous for. The estate has valley floor, hillside and mountain sites, which allows Kunde to produce 20 different varietals, including vibrant whites and structured, balanced and elegant reds such as this Cabernet.
