Aglianico del Vulture is the only DOC wine from the Basilicata region, the instep of Italy's 'boot.' This version is deep ruby in colour and made in a very modern style. Offering great complexity on the nose with suggestions of oak, plum, tar, mulberry and lots of red fruit. The palate is dry, medium bodied and harmoniously balanced, with good tannic structure and suggestions of ripe black cherry, sweet plum, and chocolate. Enjoy with grilled lamb, or a meat based pasta.
