Tasting Notes
Quite an intense, intriguing Rhône blend. Medium-deep ruby in the glass, it sports aromas of blueberry, blackberry, forest floor, smoked meat and black pepper. Dry, medium bodied, with a lovely velvety texture. Spicy, peppery finish. Tannins are still youthful, suggesting this wine will evolve nicely over the next 2-3 years. Will also be a fine partner tonight with herbed grilled-rare beef. (VINTAGES panel, June 2011)
