Tasting Notes
[Barrel sample] As it usually is when young, this is much more aromatically restrained with a pretty mix of dark berry fruit, pungent earth and an obvious stoniness that gives way gracefully to the intense, dense and beautifully delineated flavors that are balanced, long and driving. The most complete wine to this point and while the structure is firm, it's not aggressively so. Drink [from] 2013+. Score - 90-92. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, April 1, 2009)
