Tasting Notes
This is classic Pitures with its pure, restrained and moderately austere nose of earth-suffused cool red berry fruit that merges seamlessly into textured, detailed and minerally medium-bodied flavors that are tautly muscular and where the underlying tannins are knocking on the door of a light rusticity with perhaps the best complexity to this point on the equally austere finish. Like the Taillepieds, this is formed and characterized by the practically pungent minerality. Drink [from] 2014+. Score - 90. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, April 2009)
