Still quite a youthful, deep ruby colour, with aromas of berry, spice, mineral, cocoa and tobacco leaf on the nose.The palate is dry, medium bodied and nicely balanced and structured. Quite creamy in the mouth, with more dark berry, spice, vanilla, mineral and cocoa notes. Good fruit throughout, and a dry, tangy finish. A good match for a hearty pot roast.
