The 2006 Family Selection Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 24 months in new and one year French hogsheads. Very deep garnet colored, it has slowly evolving aromas of warm cassis, crushed blackberries, dried mulberries and cloves with some tobacco, toast and coffee plus a whiff of cedar. Very crisp, very full and rich in the mouth with firm fine tannins, it gives a long slightly chewy finish. Delicious now, it should evolve further and cellar to 2022+. Score - 92.
