Tasting Notes
Irouléguy wines, which blend Tannat and Cabernet grapes, are quite a rarity in this market - and this one is a beauty. From the Lower Navarre in northern Basque country, the Tannat-based 2008 Mignaberry Irouléguy offers lovely rich aromas of brambleberry, leather and cassis, with lifted violet. The palate is dry, medium-full bodied, very well balanced and structured with a dry finish of considerable length. Winner of a Silver Medal at the 2010 Concours Général Agricole in Paris.
