Tasting Notes
The Maremma Toscana IGT is located in southern Tuscany, and the warm and sunny weather of the region shines through in this wine. Medium ruby in the glass, with strawberry jam, sweet and sour cherry, floral notes and baking spices. Dry and medium bodied, with a tangy acidity counterpointing the sweet fruit and adding a red-plum note on the mid-palate. Nice supporting tannins. A fine choice for pizza night, or pair with tomato-based pasta. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2011)
