Tasting Notes
Saturated dark, bright ruby. Highly perfumed scents of blackberry, violet and minerals convey a powerful impression of lift. Delivers a rare combination of thickness and lightness, with the wine's underlying minerality giving its black fruit flavors a penetrating quality. A real wave of fruit on the palate, but less sweet on the back end than the 2011 Malbec Reserva, finishing with extremely refined tannins and a note of oaky torrefaction. Another outstanding wine from the 2010 vintage. Score - 93. (Stephen Tanzer, vinous.com, March 2014)
