Tasting Notes
A Cabernet Franc that demonstrates what this grape can achieve in Ontario. Deep ruby colour with aromas of blackberry, spice, mocha, smoked meat, underbrush and vanilla bean. Dry and ripely fruity, but with wonderful fruit-encircled acidity and fine tannins. There's an intriguing smokiness here too. It can be enjoyed tonight with blackened veal chops, but will amply reward 2-4+ years in a cellar. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2011)
