Tasting Notes
The primary grape here is Kékfrankos, the Hungarian name for Austria's Blaufränkisch. Blended here with the Szekszárd region's famous Kadarka as well as Merlot to create a wine offering aromas of blueberry, spice and bell pepper. The palate is dry with cherry, spice, beetroot and blueberry notes. Well balanced and structured with a very pleasant finish. This will reward 2+ years in the cellar, or enjoy it tonight with roast chicken and sautéed mushrooms. (VINTAGES panel, April 2011)
