Tasting Notes
'Lieu-Dit', French for 'place name', indicates that the grapes were sourced from a single vineyard (in this case, Letzenberg) that is considered to be of superior quality. The nose here is very inviting with characteristic and delightful lychee, ginger and rose petal aromas. The palate is well structured and fresh with ripe and focused fruit riding on a lovely spicy cinnamon note. More lychee and rose petal suggestions too, with a seam of acidity carrying through to the end of the long finish. Try with spiced chicken Masala. (VINTAGES panel, April 2011)
