Description
TASTING NOTE: Pale, green-tinged color. Lemon ice and crystallized citrus peel on the nose. Sweet and spicy, with an almost exotic oily character and a suggestion of caramelized citrus peel. A chewy, lightly saline fruit bomb with a tactile, fruit-driven finish. Chablis for lovers of Côte de Beaune wine. Score: 91-92 (Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, July/Aug. 2010)
Tasting Notes
As pretty as the Vaucoupin is, there is even more Chablis character present here in the form of nuanced green fruit, algae, oyster shell and iodine. There is impressive richness to the generous and fleshy medium-bodied flavors that finish with a distinct salinity.
