Tasting Notes
While the wood is considerably tamed from what it was last year at this time, it exerts plenty of influence on the otherwise beautifully complex nose of ripe apricot, lemon, peach and floral notes. Giving me optimism that it will eventually be successfully integrated is the depth of the underlying material that confers a lovely mouth feel to the rich, concentrated and textured middle weight flavors that possess ample mid-palate fat as well as a powerful, intense and citrusy finish. This is excellent as it possesses the best depth in the range in 2009. Outstanding. [Drink 2013+]. Score - 91. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, Oct. 2011)
