Tasting Notes
Wow! This is quite intense both in colour and aroma with smoke, blackberry, pepper and leather on the nose. There's amazing depth to the soft ripe fruit on the palate with touches of coffee, vanilla and mineral notes. Mild tannins add structure, and there's delicious spice on the finish. Gorgeous and quite lively, this is a winner. Try it with slow-cooked roast beef or grilled lamb chops. (VINTAGES panel, May 2011)
