Description
The vineyards for this wine at time of harvest were 63 years old. Older vines naturally produce fewer and smaller berries resulting in more intense flavours in the wines.
Tasting Notes
This has all the moves you'd want in a Chardonnay from Burgundy. Aromas of apple cinnamon, toast and pear nectar dominate. Dry and very flavourful, the fruit, toast and acidity all do a lovely dance on the tongue. Medium-full bodied with a long, stylish finish. Try it with grilled pork tenderloin, or salmon with an avocado cream sauce and a mushroom risotto side dish. (VINTAGES panel, March 2012)
