This Malbec shows great depth on the nose with rich blackberry, plum, cedar, spice and fresh herbs. The palate follows suit, reaffirming the complexity promised by the nose. Blackberry, cedar, plum, smoke, herbs and a hint of mint make for a delicious wine. Dry and medium bodied, it is made in a nice lean style, with crisp acidity, firm but not overly grippy tannins, and a focused and lengthy finish. Very approachable now, especially with grilled or braised meats, this will also reward 3+ years in the cellar. (VINTAGES panel, June 2011)
