From 1887, the team at Georges Vigouroux have been seen as specialists in Malbec, as well as a leading voice for Cahors winemaking. Antisto is Latin for 'to excel,' and proudly boasts of the quality of the wine within. Layered and complex aromas of mineral, spice, herbs, plum, blueberry, and violets on the nose. The palate is loaded with mineral, floral, spice and high-toned ripe fruit notes. Smooth tannins and good acidity, with a lingering finish. This would pair nicely with grilled or slow-cooked beef or lamb dishes. (VINTAGES panel, June 2011)
