Tasting Notes
A very evocative nose that offers a good depth of brooding dark fruit, with vanilla, mineral and violet notes all very present. The palate is dry, medium bodied and smooth with a delicious purity and concentration to the black fruit. Nice echoes of the vanilla and mineral, and a balancing acidity. A superb value, and a wine that will offer great versatility at the table. This will pair particularly well with Cajun chicken or prime rib roast. (VINTAGES panel, May 2011)
