Tasting Notes
The 2009 St.-Joseph Terre de Granit's inky/plum/purple color is followed by aromas of crushed rocks, acacia flowers, licorice, forest floor and oodles of black raspberry and black currant fruit. Concentrated, with silky tannin and a long finish, it should drink well for 6-8 years. This small producer from the village of St.-Jean de Muzols in the northern sector of St.-Joseph has produced two impressive efforts. Score - 89. (Robert Parker Jr., erobertparker.com, Dec. 2011)
