Tasting Notes
Aromas of vanilla, spice, chocolate and tobacco mingle with excellent notes of rich dark fruits to create a very complex and pleasing nose. Dry and medium bodied, the palate has more rich dark fruit with spice and chocolate notes. Smooth tannins and excellent balancing acidity keep everything in line. Delicious with pasta and tomato sauce, especially when the sauce is simmered and thickened to concentrate the flavours. (VINTAGES panel, July 2011)
