Description
Vin Jaune is a specialty of the Jura region of France. It is made using a similar technique used to make Sherry, but without the fortification. Using the local Savagnin grape, Vin Jaune wines are aged in partially-filled barrels and left untouched (except to sample during the maturation process) in the barrels for a minimum of six years. Oxidation and the growing of a Sherry-like flor are key Vin Jaune's flavour. Bottled in a unique 620 mL bottle, this is a very special taste experience.
