A fun-loving blend of Aragonez (Tempranillo -- yes, Tempranillo has a lot of different names in Portugal, such as Tinto Roriz), Touriga Nacional, and Syrah.
Tasting Notes
Dark neon pink in the glass with sweet-scented watermelon, candy apple and maraschino cherry. Surprisingly dry given the nose, with bright acidity and some impactful redcurrant joining the party along with a hint of red pepper jelly. One sip will tell you there's much more going on here than you first expect. A crowd-pleasing sipper, or give it a go with paella or a cheese-and-veg tray. (VINTAGES panel, May 2012)
