The delightfully aromatic Godello grape is a signature variety of northwest Spain, particularly in its indigenous home region of Valdeorras.
Tasting Notes
Light gold. Ripe peach and melon on the nose and palate, with notes of honey and lemon curd in the background. Sappy and focused, with good lift and cut on the spicy, refreshingly bitter finish, which features a note of quinine. Score - 89. (Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar, Sept. 2012)
