Tasting Notes
Limpid gold. Intensely perfumed bouquet of orange zest, pear and toasty, plus a touch of pomegranate. Deep, spicy orchard fruit flavors are complicated by notes of peach pit and lemon pith, with the leesy note repeating. Rich but lively, finishing with excellent clarity and spicy persistence. (I also had the chance to retaste the 2002 Blanc de Blancs and it is showing more depth and chewiness than last year, with a deeper pear quality but also good citrus-driven energy.
