Tasting Notes
The Mâcon region is a source of terrific wines at a fraction of the price of some of the more famous appellations in Burgundy. This is a beautiful unoaked Chardonnay from the glorious 2009 vintage. The pretty nose shows ripe Delicious apple, pear, mineral and a hint of baked bread. It's dry, medium bodied and brightly fruity with a racy streak of acidity running throughout. Chalky minerality is the highlight of a textured and lengthy finish. A wonderful summer Chardonnay to enjoy with chicken pasta in a cream sauce. (VINTAGES panel, June 2012)
