Nose charged with toffee, vanilla, ginger, clove and soft waft of smoke. Hints of ripe fruit and floral backing. Fine, gentle entry into the mouth with roll out of sherry, pastry, apple, melon, more ginger and honey flavours. Fine wood tannins give enormous grip while the flow is oily and luscious. Elegant and beautifully balanced. Long dry, oaky finish. A memorable experience and an honour to have savoured it. Score - Gold Medal. (International Wine & Spirit Competition, 2011)
