Tasting Notes
Bright red-ruby. Redcurrant and plum aromas are sexed up by woodsmoke and sandalwood. Tighter-knit in the mouth than the nose suggests, but with lovely inner-palate lift and an intriguing floral element to the red fruit and spice flavors. Finishes with firm but fine tannins and good juicy, spicy persistence. I like the combination of density and energy here. Score - 90. (Stephen Tanzer, vinous.com, March 2014)
