Description
Cafayate Valley is in the northern province of Salta and boasts some of the highest altitude vineyards in the world. The long growing season, dry climate and fairly extreme daily temperature fluctuations all help to produce expressive wines.
Tasting Notes
From a single plot (#35) from La Mercedes vineyard, this is a refreshing Chardonnay with aromas of green apples, melon, buttered popcorn and spice. Dry, medium bodied and well made, it's both charming and lithe on the palate with refreshing acidity and decent length on the finish.
