Tasting Notes
Interesting Gigondas from an excellent vintage. Deep ruby colour leads to aromas of herbes de provence, raspberry, plum, anise, cherry and white pepper. Dry with exceptional fruit replays on the palate that is given fine support by moderate tannins and fresh acidity. This well-balanced, long-finishing wine will continue to evolve over the next 2-3 years, and then can probably last a decade. Enjoy it tonight with grilled lamb. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2012)
