Tasting Notes
There are several varieties called Refosco, but the Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is considered the finest, as this example supports. Shows fragrant aromas of plum, floral, cherry, leather, smoke and roasted sweet herbs. Dry and quite flavourful with fresh acidity and firm tannins giving this wine some good ageing potential (3-4 years). Can be enjoyed tonight with grilled wild boar or a pork roast.
